Meta Description
Sintered and prefused calcium aluminate flux for ladle refining, desulfurization, deoxidation and inclusion removal. Fast slag formation, low power consumption and customized solutions for LF, EAF and secondary metallurgy.
Calcium Aluminate Flux for Steelmaking and Ladle Refining
Our Calcium Aluminate Flux is a high-performance synthetic slag designed for secondary metallurgy and ladle refining applications. Manufactured from carefully selected raw materials through sintering or prefusion technology, the product contains more than 85% calcium aluminate phases, primarily based on 12CaO·7Al₂O₃.
The flux promotes rapid slag formation, efficient desulfurization, deep deoxidation, and effective absorption of non-metallic inclusions. Its low melting point and excellent fluidity enable fast interaction between slag and molten steel, improving refining efficiency and steel cleanliness.
Widely used in LF Furnaces, Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF), Steel Ladles and Secondary Metallurgy Processes, the product helps steelmakers reduce refining time, lower power consumption, improve steel quality and extend refractory service life.
Available in both Sintered Calcium Aluminate Flux and Prefused Calcium Aluminate Flux grades, with customized chemistry and particle sizes according to customer requirements.
Why Choose Our Calcium Aluminate Flux
Key Benefits
Rapid Slag Formation
Optimized chemical composition accelerates slag generation, reducing refining time and increasing productivity.
Superior Desulfurization
Effectively lowers sulfur content in molten steel, improving mechanical properties and steel cleanliness.
Strong Deoxidation Capability
Promotes oxygen transfer from steel to slag and enhances removal of oxide inclusions.
Inclusion Absorption
Excellent adsorption of non-metallic inclusions through intensive slag-metal interaction during argon stirring.
Lower Energy Consumption
Faster slag formation shortens refining cycles and reduces electricity consumption in LF and EAF operations.
Extended Refractory Life
Contains MgO for slag saturation, reducing refractory erosion and prolonging ladle service life.
Stable Quality
Uniform composition and strict process control ensure consistent metallurgical performance.
Customized Formulation
Chemical composition, basicity and particle size can be adjusted according to different steel grades and refining practices.
